Neuropsychological Evaluation

What to Expect from a Neuropsychological Evaluation

One of the reasons why you might be avoiding a neuropsychological evaluation is because you don’t know what’s going to happen. Often, doctors suggest the evaluation but don’t tell you what it's about.

A variety of evaluations can be performed based on what’s going on. This includes TBI, ADD, dementia, learning disabilities, post-stroke, and more. The only way to know what’s really happening is to get evaluated. Once an evaluation is complete, you can be matched with the right doctor or psychologist in order to get more customized treatment.

The evaluation will be done in person. You’ll be evaluated on everything from general intellectual abilities to mood, behavior, and concentration. It’s absolutely nothing to be worried about – and at CJaffe PHD, we have experience with adults and children.
