Are you unlucky in love, or lucky in love and unlucky in friendship?

Are you unhappy in your current intimate relationship? Are you good at intimate relationships, but less successful with friendship? Have you experienced problems at work because you have difficulty with people? If you answered yes to one or all of the questions here or on the home page, you've come to the right place.

Since we thrive on connection, our greatest pain often happens when our connections with others are difficult or painful. Research has shown that close ties and an active social life lead to positive overall mental and physical health, as well as our longevity. Yet, our attachments can be some of the most challenging and sometimes the most painful parts of our lives. You can experience problems in any relationship, not just with your partner, and people often have trouble with more than one kind of relationship.

Whatever your reason, consider working with me in individual therapy to feel more fulfilled in one or all of your relationships. My work over the past 30 years has mainly focused on helping people improve their attachments and create fulfilling new ones in any part of life. My broad experience has taught me that the most important relationship is the one we have with ourselves. A strong component of our work together will focus on your connection with yourself as the most important relationship.

I can help you have deeper relationships with spouses, other intimate partners, friends, family members, and coworkers.
